I was born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan.

I went to school at Sacred Heart, St Anthony’s and then Aitchison College from class 5 to O Levels. After O Levels at Aitchison, I did my F Sc (Pre-Med) from Government College, Lahore.
I went to King Edward Medical College from 1995 to 2000.

I moved to the United States after graduating from King Edward Medical College. From 2002-2006 I did residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at The University of Texas-Medical School at Houston.

I served as chief resident during my 4th year of residency.
Residency was followed by a one year fellowship in Surgical Pathology at The Methodist Hospital in Houston.
I am American Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists. I returned to Pakistan in 2007 and joined Chughtais Lahore Lab as Lab Director. In addition I teach as a Visiting Faculty at the University of Texas – Medical School at Houston.
